This electric clipper weighs over a pound, which is considerable weight for a clipper. The cord is huge–almost as large as the super-powered Vitamix blender. Completely unnecessary to have it so large and makes it difficult to navigate around my dog. The adjustable lever on the side comes loose pretty frequently as well, and it makes a horrible rattling noise while the clippers is going. It scares my dog and so I’m constantly having to retighten the screw.
I used to own £25 Wahl corded trimmers that were noisy and awkward to use. Wow, these are amazing and well worth the money. They are super quiet and don’t stress my dog out.

At first these trimmers were doing well. As owner of 4 doggies we have had 2 other clipper sets and this unit has not owned up to expectations. Now I have a cat that looks like it has a schnauzer cut. JUNK. I was thinking maybe it was just the store I was purchasing them from. I went to a different store and bought another cordless pair… junk.
Even when I did, it barely cut any fur! It Took almost two hours to get the fur to the length I wanted. It also got really hot not to long after using it. Once they went bad I bought the newest they had. They worked really well but after a year they went bad.
One of my cats has very fine fur that tangles and mats easily even with regular brushing. We’ve tried many different clippers and it seemed like they couldn’t ever get through her fur. The one clipper that made it through her fur would get clogged on every pass.
This is the first clipper I’ve owned that goes all the way through her fur without clogging! It cuts so well that it doesn’t feel like I’m cutting anything at all. It’s fairly quiet, so I’m able to get neck and chin mats out quickly without much stress.
We finally got a TSC in our town and I bought this today. Spent a lot of time reviewing dog clippers and watching YouTube videos of professional groomers. They obviously have more equipment in their arsenal.
I had an $80 Andis I bought years ago that I would rate higher. Not sure why this brand are so hot in the grooming market. I had to dig around in the case to finally find the oil and brush . Additionally, the clipper had little hairs on it, and the blade and plastic had nicks. The various attachments allow for flexibility also.

I should of purchased sooner I have a toy poodle and Lhasa aspo with knots in there hair and are not friendly with strangers. We did take breaks due to the machine getting a little hot but over all great purchase Wont being back to the groomers. They will soon pay for themselves in money saved on grooming fees. The changeable length is really useful, and being cordless makes the job so much easier.
Finally got the right tools for the job. Let my standard poodle get a bit too long. It’s not the cheapest clipper, but this is exactly what I needed and is well worth the cost. Rechargeable dog trimmer with built-in battery is good for exceptional flexibility.
